Description
Black with bay roaning; silver ears and nose. When Karaja flew into our farm on April 3, 2009, she
immediately flew into my heart. The decision to add to our herd from the outside isn't one we make often
and is never taken lightly. In fact, this one was 3 years in the making. In the summer of 2008, I decided that
if I were to add another goat to our herd, it would be from Saada Dairy Goats in Cody, WY. I first saw the
Saada herd in person in 2006 at the ADGA Nationals in Indianapolis, IN. I remember being very impressed
when a particular doe entered the ring. When I later learned she was from Saada, their herd name went
from being one I was familiar with to one that intrigued me. Then in 2008 at the ADGA Nationals in
Louisville, KY, I had the pleasure of watching the Saada girls in the ring once more. Again, they did not
disappoint. After working alongside Laura Evans of Saada that week at Nationals, I soon found myself
compelled to contact her. Laura helped me select which planned breeding to order from and when our little
girl arrived on the farm, I was very pleased with our selection. Karaja continues to grow on the farm and we
can't wait to see where her future progeny will take us.
At the 2009 ADGA Nationals in Sacramento in July, Kara's Dam, El-Kaziah, placed 2nd/2nd udder for her
class. The Saada Dairy herd was named the 2009 ADGA National Show Premiere Nubian Breeder &
Exhibitor!!
